The trip to Atlanta was nice. We left about 7:00Pm and arrived sometime after 2:00AM. No traffic, no coppers, and best of all, Evelyn slept almost the entire trip. We made one soothing stop around 12am at a steak and shake in Tenessee. We fed Evelyn, and had a pair of shakes, and then hit the road. I listened to an interesting radio show as I neared Atlanta. It’s one of those shows catered directly to truckers and the sort. It was a weird mix of pseudo science and national terror alert investigation.

merry christmas…
We’re off to Fort Wayne, Indiana today for a wedding. I hope that everyone in our family has a wonderful christmas. Seasons greetings and all that jazz. In other news, I stepped on a nail. OUCH!

Thanksgiving break was very very necessary. One week off from school did a body good. We drove all through the night, the sunday before thanksgiving, and arrived in brooklyn about 8:30 am the next Monday. Evelyn did wonderful. I know it seems crazy that we drove all through the night but there a few benefits to night travel. Firstly, there are any cars on the road. Secondly, and most imporatant, Evelyn can travel at night. She hates riding in the car. If we travel long distances it has to be while she’s sleeping. Otherwise it’s constant wailing from the backseat.
We stayed with Brian and Katie McMullen (two very close friends of our) at their very expensive apartment in Brooklyn. They are super nice, witty, and love Jesus.
We stomped around New York City with Evelyn in the sling. We left Wednesday night for Moodus, Ct. and spent Thanksgiving and the next day with Sarah’s family.
We were going to go to Gillette castle the next day but apparantly they were closed for the season. We decided to go to the casino nearby instead. It was quite fun. I had some good pictures from inside the casino but they made me confiscate them. Drats.
Lots of fun.
