Lazy Autumn Day in the Suburbs

this is a laugh, but looks like pain

What a great day today. Wonderful weather and friends and fun. We slept in and hung out around the house. I walked to confession at St. John’s down the street which was more than enough to give me vigor for the conversation with the nice but tragically sad Moonie from Estonia who showed up at our door trying to sell us strange pictures of angels and unicorns. We had fun hanging out in the evening with the neighbors. Kids playing with each other and parents discussing local politics, Ruby, and speeding teenagers. Scott and Veronica came over and we walked to the local dive “Chicken on the Run”. After dinner we walked to buy pumpkins from the Remke Market two blocks away. We borrowed the plastic red wagon from our next door neighbors yard; The one they lazily leave out without fear or worry of it being stolen. Whoever says the suburbs are for the dogs probably doesn’t like dogs anyways.
