I’m not sure about that

I’m not sure about that picture, but I do for a fact believe in ghosts. I’ve seen a ghost with my own two eyes, as clear as day, and the house in which I lived when I was a child was haunted.

When I was a child I woke up in the middle of the night and went to my mother’s room. I wanted to get a drink of water. My mother was lying in bed reading. There was a man in her bed with a beard and a cowboy hat. I asked my mom who was in bed with her, wanting some reasonable explanation, because when I looked again, there was no one there. She was confused and had no clue what I was talking about.

The eerie thing is this: My mother and father had always had trouble with the house. It sounds too cliche to be true, but the previous owner was this southern cowboy type who died of cancer. He did not want his wife to sell the house to anyone in case of his death, but she was forced to in order to stay afloat financially. I had no knowledge of this at the time.

Also, when my mom and dad first moved into the house, one morning when my father went into the garage, the previous owner’s last name was spray painted on the interior wall. Then next morning, it vanished without a trace.

The house always caused my parents trouble. The tv. would change the channel by itself, doors would open and close, and pictures would not stay on the wall. My father who is a skeptical atheist says that he can not explain away these facts with any rational explanation outside of the supernatural.

Another time my mother was tickling me on the floor. One of the walls was lined with windows. The sun was setting as we were playing and shadows were showing up on the floor. As she was tickling me, I saw a shadow turn into the shape of a tall, skinny legged man. This freakish shadow was dancing around the floor. I started screaming for my mother to stop because of this, but she didn’t comprehend. It was weird and scary.

So because of these things which I know that I saw with my own two eyes, I believe in something which could be called ghosts.

Here’s a possible explanation of how ghosts fit in with Christianity (the catholic version that is).

It’s entitled “What are Ghosts” by Peter Kreeft. The truth of the conjecture is up in the air, I’m sure. Read and agree at your own discretion.
